WEEK 09
Describe your design process with the second deliverable.
This week I kept refining the AR posters. I added the QR code to the still version. I have tried more possibilities with layouts and animations. Personally I am not satisfied with the current animations cause I feel there could be more fun and exciting things happening on the posters. I have tried to apply the animations on the illustrations to make the characters do more than blinking, but the effects didn't meet my expectations so I have to find other options or I have to find other more effective ways to do the animations.

Give us an update on your user testing.
I will conduct the user testing the week after next week. I hope the user testing will include the posters, the animations, and the websites. For the AR posters, I am still considering the size. Right now the AR poster size is about as tall as men, and you need to find a ground to show the whole part of the poster. The good thing about that is you can walk into the poster and even see it from the back of the type. The bad thing is that it will be hard to show in a narrower space or on a table.
How do you currently promote yourself as a designer?
I have created a website uploading all my works, including graphic design and some paintings, illustrations... I also opened Instagram accounts and a Behance account to share my works.

How are you sharing your thesis with the world? How do you think you can draw more social media traffic and attention to your work?
There is an Instagram account @bejing.echo to promote the thesis content to the world. And I want to create some filters inspired by the Beijing Opera masks or props. I think it is a fun and trended way to increase interactions and social media traffic with the audience. This week I spent a lot of time learning about this. The filters are gonna created by multiple software including AR experience editor and 3D editors. I will continue working on this.
